Is the course nationally recognised?
Yes the FNS40811 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and  FNS50311 Diploma of Finance Mortgage Broking Management are nationally recognised qualifications and are part of the FNS11 Financial Services Training Package.

Yes as these courses are nationally recognised qualifications  the MFAA must recognise it as suitable for the professional development of mortgage originators.  Although the Certificate IV remains the minimum (ASIC )education for both mortgage broker training and finance broker training requirements, this Diploma qualification is deemed to be the new entry requirement.

Can I enter directly into a Diploma Qualification?
Yes you can, however Skill Solutions believes it is far better to firstly do the Certificate IV course in Mortgage Broking and the complete the Diploma course once you have finished your Certificate IV course.

How do I get started?
Dependant on which course you choose – If you are enrolling in a FTF course that will commence on the first day of class.  The distance learning and the Online courses commence once you are enrolled and you receive your material.

Skill Solutions can also offer classes to small groups.  We require a minimum of 4 people for a class or workshop to be done at your workplace.

If you are enrolling in our Online course we request a phone interview, just to ensure you have the appropriate skills to complete the course.  We want you to succeed.  We are determined to deliver good outcomes to you the student.

Do you offer this course online?
Yes, this course is offered by online e-learning, in addition to face to face (FTF) workshop mode.

When completing the course via Online e-learning students will access the course via AAMC’s (our training partner)  online e-learning platform.

Online students do not receive a hard copy of the training material.

What materials/equipment do I need?
Course manuals are supplied at the commencement of the FTF  workshops.  We recommend a financial calculator or you may prefer to download this from an IPhone – if available.  If you are completing your Diploma Course a laptop computer may be advisable on the last FTF day session.

Where  is the training conducted?
You will be notified of the venue prior to the course commencing.  Whenever possible, we arrange venues with suitable parking available for students.

What time do the classes begin?
Workshops will begin at 9am and conclude at 4.30pm – 5:00pm.

What happens if I am unable to attend my course?
If for a reason outside of your control, you are unable to attend the course for which you had enrolled, we will endeavour to reschedule your attendance for another course.  Alternatively, your enrolment can be converted to distance education mode or online e-learning with your approval. (Refer to our refund policy).

What assessments are the assessments in the finance course?
The assessments are varied dependant upon which finance course you are enrolling in.  Your trainer will outline the assessments to you at the beginning of each course.
